Yikes! $2 for a slider — nearly $6 for 3. That hefty price comes with no cheese. I’m a fan of Food and Wines’ Best New Chef Bryan Caswell’s seafood restaurant Reef. When he opened Lil’ Bigs I wanted to love it too. The restaurant is located in the former home of Ming’s Chinese restaurant, a Montrose area perennial favourite. It is also located very close to Houston’s famed Niko Nikos, so I wanted it to become another one of those places you have to take out of town guests to. The buns of the burgers are probably the best part. mmm… Taste like Sheila Partin’s — hands down the best sandwich bun maker in Houston. The meat on the burgers is not so tasty, good fat content, just not a tasty cut of beef. Well… there’s more than beef , so I decided to try the chicken on my 3rd visit — salt quake! I think I’m better off at Chicka Filet.
